Nilo Ramos; my dearest and my favorite uncle, the father that I wished I had, he's the coolest uncle in the world. He spoils me with a lot of things but never failed to guide me in life. He fought cancer for more than two years; but unlike my dad he lost the battle. On July 25th at exactly 9:39pm in the evening he left us and his family forever.
I was at my office's gym trying to burn some carbs when I suddenly felt a cold chill going down my spine, I ignored it thinking that it's just the airconditioning. When I finally decided to hit the showers I received my sister's text about what happened, that's when I realized that uncle Nilo was just nearby.
When he was still alive he used to give me a gentle tap on my shoulders when I eat while complimenting my slightly buffed body. He used to tell me that I should've joined the army when I was a bit younger.
I was alone in the shower room when I was able to grasp the fact that he gave me a short visit.
My heart was crushed knowing the fact that I wasn't able to visit him in the hospital. I wasn't able to see him before he left us ;but Whenever I think of it I become a bit ironic thinking that it's for the best because, Whenever I think of my uncle I picture him as a buffed handsome middle aged man always wearing a neat polo-shirt and khaki-shorts smiling back at me with his suave hairdo and signature scent of CKone that's my uncle.
My memories with him are forever in my heart and will never be forgotten. The friendship, the love, and the guidance will always be remembered and be told among those of who ask about my uncle, Petronilo Ramos. Rest in Peace uncle we will definitely miss you.
